Valentijn

Valentijn is a captain within the MareFun fleet who returns to the beautiful island of Sardinia every year to do what he considers one of the most special and rewarding jobs in the world. With a genuine passion for the sea and hospitality, he enjoys meeting new people every day and helping guests experience their dream vacation.

Having worked with MareFun for over six years, Valentijn is proud to be part of a team known for its professionalism, knowledge, and passion for the nautical world. He values the collaborative spirit of the company and the dedication of every crew member in delivering high-quality charter experiences.

Alongside his maritime career, Valentijn is currently studying Business Administration and the integration of Artificial Intelligence, while also pursuing Japanese language studies in Tokyo. He is a native Dutch and English speaker and is continuing to expand his international skills and knowledge.
